DIOCESE OF ALBANY CATHOLIC SCHOOLS
Catholic Central School was formed in 2021 when St. Ambrose School in Latham (pre-K to 5th grade) and Catholic Central High School in Lansingburgh (6th to 12th grade) chose to partner at the expansive campus that is currently home to St. Ambrose School and St. Ambrose Parish. Our 19-acre campus, which is located on Old Loudon Road off Exit 7 of I-87, provides a continuum of Catholic education from pre-K to 12th grade in a safe, central location.
Our new school, which will open its doors the fall of 2022, will be created in phases over the next few years. 2022-2023 will be a transition year and Catholic Central School will be expanded by renovating and building on St. Ambrose School’s existing structure.
At Catholic Central School, our goal is to deliver a richer, broader, Christ-centered college preparatory education for children of all faiths and grade levels, while embracing each student’s distinct, God-given gifts. In addition to a state-of-the-art education culminating in an Advanced Regents Diploma at commencement, students will have access to first-class athletic fields, enhanced extracurricular activities, and partnerships with surrounding colleges and universities. And, because Catholic Central School is spiritually and physically linked to St. Ambrose Catholic Church, all grade levels will benefit from youth ministry, service, and afternoon activities, helping shape the student into a leader in body, mind, and spirit.
