CCS and ND-BG announcement
May 15, 2026
Dear Families and Friends:
As the school year draws to a close, we look with great anticipation to the 2026-2027 academic year. As you know, the programs at Catholic Central School (CCS) and Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons School (ND-BG) are uniting at the high school level. The middle school programs will continue at each campus.
It's a different but innovative direction — two campuses with one mission — to provide exceptional, student-centered education to all students in grades Pk-12 rooted in the deep Catholic tradition.
To manage the programming, the administrative structure is changing but many of the faces will remain the same. Mr. James ("Jay") Mahoney will be the principal at the ND-BG campus, and Mrs. Kristen Campito will assume the principal role at CCS. Serving as assistant principal on both campuses will be Mr. Richard ("Ritch") Harrigan.
Each of these leaders brings a unique skill set to the mission. Jay is a 1995 Catholic Central alumnus who has a long-standing history at ND-BG, formerly serving as athletic director and physical education teacher. Kristen is a 2004 Catholic Central alumna who taught at St. Ambrose School before it merged with Catholic Central. She has served this past year as the assistant principal. Ritch stepped into the role of principal at CCS in 2022 but has a long teaching history at ND-BG. He will now play an active role on both campuses.
In addition to the administrative staff, the Catholic School Office is currently seeking experienced candidates to serve as President of the CCS and ND-BG campuses. The President will be the Chief Executive Officer responsible for financial affairs, fundraising, enrollment management, marketing, and long-term strategic planning, with the two principals managing the day-to-day operations of their respective campuses.
With a determination to continuously offer a faithful academic experience to all our students, we're grateful for your continued prayers for the children, faculty, staff and leadership team at CCS and ND-BG.
With sincere regards,
Dr. Christopher Bott
Superintendent of Schools
Dr. Teresa Snyder
Associate Superintendent of Schools
