Job Summary
The Diocese of Albany Catholic School Office is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Advancement Director to lead and manage fundraising and development efforts. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies to enhance philanthropic support through capital campaigns, annual appeals, major gift solicitations, and engagement with alumni and the broader community. The Advancement Director will work closely with the Catholic School Office staff, principals, school leadership, and key stakeholders to advance the system’s mission and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising & Development
Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of capital campaigns, ensuring effective donor engagement and stewardship.
Oversee the annual appeals of the three diocesan high schools, increasing participation and financial contributions from parents, alumni, and friends of the school.
Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts from individuals, businesses, and foundations to support the school’s strategic initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, ensuring proper acknowledgment, appreciation, and recognition.
Oversee the annual appeal of the Beacon of Hope scholarship fund, increasing participation and financial contributions from parents, alumni, friends of our schools, and the greater community.
Alumni & Community Engagement
Strengthen and expand alumni relations, creating meaningful engagement opportunities through events, communications, and networking initiatives.
Serve as the primary liaison between the Catholic School Office, schools, alumni, community members, and benefactors, fostering a culture of giving and involvement.
Communication & Outreach
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to effectively share the mission, achievements, and fundraising priorities.
Collaborate with marketing and administrative teams to ensure consistent messaging across newsletters, social media, and the school website.
Prepare donor impact reports and provide updates on fundraising initiatives to the Principal and other school leadership.
Strategic Planning & Leadership
Work closely with the Superintendent, Diocesan Director of Stewardship and Development Office, and School Board to set fundraising goals and ensure alignment with the system’s long-term vision.
Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, donor histories, and gift tracking using donor management software.
Research and apply for grant funding opportunities to support school programs and capital improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, communications, business, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 7-10 yrs of experience in a front line development, fundraising, or advancement, preferably in a Catholic or independent school setting.
Proven success in securing major gifts and managing capital campaigns.
Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to inspire and engage donors.
Knowledge of donor database management and fundraising software is a plus.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced leader to serve as our Director of Academics. This position will oversee and support curriculum alignment, instructional best practices, and academic programming across all grade levels (Pre-K–8). This is a full-time, 12-month position aligned with the academic calendar, including reduced and flexible hours during the summer months.
Responsibilities:
? Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive Pre-K to 8th-grade curriculum that is aligned with diocesan standards, and state frameworks.
? Ensure curriculum coherence and articulation across grade levels and subject areas.
? Oversee the selection, adoption, and implementation of high-quality instructional materials and resources.
? Facilitate professional development programs for faculty and staff in curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
? Assist in the mentoring and supervision of faculty as needed.
? Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, and specialists to develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
? Analyze student data and utilize results to guide curriculum improvement and interventions.
? Stay current on educational research and best practices in curriculum design, instruction, and assessment.
? Serve as a liaison between teachers and administration regarding academic expectations and initiatives.
? Support the SBST (Solution Based Study Team).
Preferred Qualifications:
? Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
? Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience (Pre-K to 8th grade preferred).
? Demonstrated experience in leading and facilitating professional development programs for educators.
? Proficiency in curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
? Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
? Commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative school environment.
