DIOCESE OF ALBANY CATHOLIC SCHOOLS
Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons School understands that parents place trust in us. We’re dedicated to supporting students’ passions and strive for excellence in academics.
While enrolled here, students will find faculty, administration, and a community celebrating their accomplishments. Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons is dedicated to providing an education, filled with academic rigor, discipline, faith and safety in and among the community. Students receive four years of math and science and we offer acceleration in Spanish toward a five-year sequence. We strongly emphasize servicing the community, which is exemplified by our students enrolled in Spanish 5, who mentor multicultural students at Paige Elementary School. We believe attending a Catholic high school lets students incorporate personal faith into daily educational and social activities.
Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons was the only Catholic school to participate in the Olympics of the Visual Arts put on by the New York State Art Teacher’s Association. Our school has placed first in a variety of divisions every year. Our Mock Trial Team has won local and regional championships, and even participates in State Mock Trial Competitions.
We offer a Senior Year Religion Class, called ‘Peace and Justice,’ which gets students out in the field for service.
