Blessed Sacrament School

Thank you for your interest in Blessed Sacrament School.

Located in the heart of Albany, NY, Blessed Sacrament School offers a culturally diverse, warm and caring environment. This setting allows students to learn academically, socially and spiritually.

Our robust educational platform offers: accelerated courses for grade 8 students in science and math; grade level led monthly service projects as an extension of our Religion Curriculum; and Early Childhood programs with full access to classes in physical education, Spanish, music and technology. After school programs are also available for interested families.

The teacher-led clubs we offer include: homework assistance and tutoring, technology, reading, art, Spanish, and drama. Our sports programs include soccer and tennis, and CYO basketball for boys and girls in grades 5-8.

Our technology program has a state-of-the-art computer lab, and we utilize Smartboards and Smart Airliners in each classroom. We also offer hands-on learning and building of computers to grades 4-8. Our Faith Formation group participates in daily religions classes for all grades, monthly liturgy and para-liturgical services, times of retreat, sacramental preparation, reconciliation services, service projects (like Faith in Action), and daily morning and afternoon prayer.

Our academic program, after school care and clubs, federal hot lunch program, Home School Association, The Faith Life of our school, and our collaborative Home School Communication system are all included in our affordable tuition plan.

Students benefit from our relationship with both the College of St. Rose and Siena College. We partner with St. Rose to provide a quality art program, an after school art club and a student art show in the fall and spring. We also work with Siena College to provide an after school tutoring program for upper grade students as well as a Big Brother Big Sister program on Saturdays.
