We are currently recruiting for Elementary Teachers (All Content Areas) for the 2019/2020 school year for many of our Catholic Schools.  

All teachers in the schools of the Diocese of Albany must have at least a bachelor's degree to qualify for full or part-tme classroom responsibility for grades K-8.  All teachers should have New York State Certification or be in the process of obtaining certification.

Although a bachelor's degree is preferable, an associate's degree is acceptable as a qualification to teach Pre-K only.

School Counselor - (Long Term Substitute)

Saratoga Central Catholic School is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time, temporary School Counselor position to cover a leave of absence, effective on or about mid-February and ending on or about the end of June 2020.  Dates are estimated; flexibility is greatly appreciated. Successful candidates must possess valid NYS School Counselor certification (Provisional or Permanent).

General Responsibilities:

Under the general direction and supervision of the Interim Principal, this individual will serve as the School Counselor to students grades six through twelve by providing a variety of counseling, consultation, and case conferencing services to the Saratoga Central Catholic school community. This individual will be responsible for monitoring the academic, career, and social/emotional progress of all students as they complete the 2019-2020 academic year.  Interested candidates should have a strong working knowledge of special education and possess excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • School Counseling Experience (preferred)
  • Master’s Degree in Professional School Counseling
  • Permanent or Provisional NYS School Counselor certification
